Auditions for Show of Farce will take place on Monday, November 9 & Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6 PM at the Metcalfe County Public Library Community Room, located across the street from the theater entrance. Parking is available at the Barn Lot Theater parking lot, street side, and the lot behind the library.

Audition Format: Participants will perform a cold reading from the script.

Alternative Arrangements: If you're unable to attend the scheduled audition, please contact info@barnlottheater.org or call the theater at (270) 432-2276 to make alternative arrangements.

Rehearsals and Performances: Anticipate at least two rehearsals per week, with frequency increasing as the production date approaches. Depending on the role, actors may not be required to attend all rehearsals. Please bring any known schedule conflicts to auditions. Mandatory performance dates are February 25–28, March 2, & March 4–7, 2027.

Participation Requirements: Any volunteer over the age of 18 requires a background check. Actors under the age of 18 are required to bring a parent or guardian to assist with paperwork.

Cast List/Descriptions: Ages listed are for audition purposes only; the age of the actor cast in the role may differ from what’s described.

Please note: The roles of Wanelle Wilburn, D. Gene Wilburn, Maxie Suggs, and Jenna Wilburn are not available as actors are returning from previous installments.

Quentin Pickering: An arrogant, impeccably dressed British guest wearing expensive clothes who is easily agitated and constantly complains about the Arkansas heat.

Ty Wilburn: The handsome, charming, and well-meaning son of D. Gene and Wanelle who works hard helping maintain the lodge while balancing community theatre.

Fredricka "Fred" Hanson: A timid, plain, and tightly wound city girl from Los Angeles who wears oversized glasses and is terrified of rural nature.

Lucinda Galloway: A smartly dressed, business-like, and somewhat pretentious official visiting from the Arkansas Police Commission.

Melba Wilburn: D. Gene’s loud, burly, and energetic cousin from Oklahoma—an inveterate practical joker with personality to spare.
