BYE-BYE BANTER!

Now that Barn Lot has an INCREDIBLE website (www.barnlottheater.org) up and running full force, a website where anyone can get all the Barn Lot news 24/7, we will be fazing out our newsletter The Barn Lot Banter. After all, let's face it--a website is much cheaper than mailing thousands of letters. Not to mention that the website is much more current, is updated on a daily basis, and has many features no found in the Banter, such as archived photos, polls, and staff information.

No need to worry, however, we will be reminding you of upcoming productions. We will continue to send out information about our plays but in a much more economical fashion. And if you don't have a computer or access to a computer, just give us a call and we will make sure you continue to get all the information we have about Barn Lot Theater and what's going on.

The next Banter, which will be mailed in October, will be the last Banter before the change. Please remember to call us at 270-432 BARN if you are not in a position to access out website so that we can put you on our alternate mailing list.

2011 SEASON

Many patrons have been asking when we will be having Barn Lot's 2011 Season Announcement and the answer is: We're Not. Now, before you panic, we will be having a 2011 Season, we just won't be announcing it ahead of time. A new policy has been put in place by the powers that be at the country's largest play house which does not allow theaters to obtain permission to do a play more than six months before the scheduled performances.  What does that mean for Barn Lot? That we can't be sure we will have permission to do a play until six months before we want to do it, which is the soonest we can put in an application.

I know what you're thinking--does this play house own every play in the world? No, it does not, but it does own about 80% of the best. And because we are absolutely dedicated to bringing our patrons not only top-quality productions but productions you all know, love, and want to see, we decided (after much discussion) to announce our plays one at a time.

That, however, will be the only change. We will still do five major performances in 2011 and Season Tickets will still be available for purchase--we hope we've proven ourselves over the years and that you will purchase Season Tickets with every confidence that we will deliver as always.
