Faith County II In May
Everyone's favorite small-town eccentrics--the citizens of Mineola--return to the Barn Lot stage this May for a dinner theater production of the wildly popular Faith County II: An Evening of Culture. Mildred Hayworth Carson (Vivien Worthen-Powell), pig farmer Delbert Fink (Larry Wilson) and their friends are putting on their own wonderfully side-splitting rendition of Romeo and Juliet. Back again are most of the original cast members: Harold Chambers as Luther Carson, Susan Chambers as Naomi Louise Farkle, Wendell Kennison as Bubba Bedford, Faye Belcher as Violet Farkle, and Shane Chambers as Faye McFaye, and of course, Larry Wilson. Joining the cast are Emily Coffey as Ruthann Barnes and Vivien Worthen-Powell.
Faith County II will be presented May 3,4,5,10,11,12,17,18,19 and 20, 2007 with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and curtain at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for dinner and the show are $20.00 for regular, $18.00 for student/seniors/military and $8.00 for pre-school. Tickets for show only are $10.00, $8.00, and $3.00. Reservations can be made by calling the theater at 270-432-BARN.
Catering will be supplied by Family Secrets Catering and the menu is Pork Tenderloin, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans or Baked Apples, salad, rolls, and a choice of Italian Cream Cake or Chocolate Cake.
Be sure to call soon and make your reservations--this is one you definitely don't want to miss!
Student Workshop Showcase!
The Barn Lot Student Theater Workshop Showcase will be presented at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7th. The program will consist of two parts. The younger group will be presenting "Rainbow Fish and the Sea Monster's Cave" and the older students will present monologues.
The students have been participating in a six week course, conducted by Vivien Worthen-Powell, at which they learned voice projection, basic stage directions, the body as an instrument, presentation skills, and acting techniques.
We encourage everyone to attend the showcase and support these up-and-coming Barn Lot Stars!
Tickets will be on sale at the door for $2.00. For more information, please call the theater at 270-432-BARN.
